A romantic getaway is not just flowers and wine – it is an experience (that of course may happen to include flowers and wine). A romantic getaway creates a special experience for you and your special person to enjoy. It will relax, rejuvenate, and maybe even entertain. It will engage your senses, as you give you and your loved one time to detach from the mundane.
Here at Hampton Terrace, we understand how important it is to take time for romance – and happily, we are nestled in a special place that is rich in all of the elements that a true romantic getaway requires.
The rising, gentle peaks of the Berkshires are the first to greet you when you arrive. They are the canvases upon which nature expresses the dramatic nature of the New England seasons. In winter, white peaks beckon you to join them on the slopes. In Fall, the mountainsides erupt into one of the great wonders of the world – trees that glow in colors straight from a jewel box, reds, oranges, yellows. And of course in the summer, lush greens invite you to picnic on the grass, hike the ancient woods, and stroll the town at night, sipping wine and touring the culinary globe.
Hampton Terrace has your plush, cozy bed, your private room, and a special gift card to our local, Lenox wine shop, Nejaimes. In-room massage? We can arrange that for you. Wine and flowers to set the tone for your special trip? Call ahead, they’ll be ready for you when you arrive.
And that’s just your arrival.
Once your bags are settled in your room and you’ve had a chance to test the coziness of the big, fluffy bed, it’s time to explore the neighborhood. Within a short walk, guests at Hampton Terrace find the lovely town of Lenox to explore.
French cuisine is renowned the world over for its elegance, richness, and exquisite flavor. Patisserie Lenox is an authentic French patisserie just a short walk from your room at Hampton Terrace. Rich chocolate, decadent cakes, flaky croissant, and so much more. French pastries are moist, flavorful, and unforgettable. Enjoy something there, and bring a little something back to your room for later.

Your stomachs will tell you when it’s time for dinner. The Berkshires are home to a strong farm-to-table movement and Nudel are masters of their genre. Chef Bjorn Somlo was nominated for a Best New Chef award in 2012 by Food & Wine Magazine. His pasta bar draws its ingredients from local sources and transforms food into an experience. There’s a reason his fans are ardent and enthusiastic.
Don’t forget to stop at Nejaimes, the wine shop, with your certificate, before you settle in for the evening. Located appropriately right near the patisserie, they stock a dense selection of fine wines and other beverages. Perhaps pair your wine with the delicious pastry you picked up at Patisserie Lenox?
Once you’ve returned from town, your Jacuzzi tub is here for you at the Inn, in your private oasis of relaxation.
After a great night’s sleep spent sinking deeper into relaxation mode, you’ll likely awaken to the savory smells of whatever we are cooking that morning in the kitchen, and we will have a private candlelit breakfast ready for you. Breakfast is no cookie cutter affair at Hampton Terrace. You’ll have a different selection each morning of your visit, sweets, savories, and vegetarian options are available.
And that’s just day one. The Berkshires have so much more to offer you, as you explore the all-too-rare experience of true relaxation and romance.
For more than eight years, off-season weekend visitors to Hampton Terrace have visited Nejaimes Wine Shop in Lenox with a $30 Gift Certificate in hand, compliments of Hampton Terrace.
For the balance of March, leverage your $30 by taking advantage of their annual wine sale. Many of their cases are marked down as much as 30% and many individual bottles are 50% off. Why? Makes no sense to me. This store has become a destination for many from all over the Northeast.
The official excuse is that it is their 40th Anniversary. But they do the same every year. They also are hosting wine tastings every Saturday in March. And on display are their large selections of cheeses, breads and complements.
A 2-night, off-season, weekend stay at Hampton Terrace includes the $30 Gift Card, full breakfast buffet, and 30% discount on a 3rd night. We have 14 rooms, most featuring fireplaces and Jacuzzis. #1 on Trip Advisor in Lenox. We look forward to seeing you.
Anyone who has stayed at Hampton Terrace Bed and Breakfast Inn in Lenox knows we are tied at the hip to our local wine shop, Nejaimes. All guests who take advantage of our Romantic Weekend Special, head there with $30, compliments of us.
For the month of November, those same guests have the chance to leverage their $30 up to 30%! Nejaimes stocks their three stores for a strong summer season each year, then in November they run everything on sale. This year they are adding a new twist: Every bottle of wine priced OVER $50 automatically gets a 30% reduction. Wow. A chance to try those 92+ point Cabernet’s without so much guilt.
One of the hallmarks of Nejaimes….and I am most familiar with the Lenox shop…..is that all of the sales people are knowledgeable about their inventory, and are eager to help you pick the right bottle of wine. You can find scores of beers from around the world. Liquors in all sizes and price ranges. They also specialize in cheeses, single-serving containers of anti-pastas and salads, smoked meats and sausages, desserts including locally made ice cream…..I can’t even cover the tip of the iceberg. www.nejaimeswine.com
How can you start your discount shopping spree with $30 already in the bank? By staying at Hampton Terrace any weekend between November 1st and mid-June for at least two nights. And to add value….a third night is 30% off. We include full breakfast buffet and most of our rooms have fireplaces and Jacuzzis. Rated #1 on Trip Advisor from 25+ Lenox inns and b&bs. Early check-in and late check-out available. Members of the Lenox Chamber of Commerce and the Berkshire Visitors Bureau. Call 800-203-0656.
Thirty eight weekends per year are considered "off-season" at Hampton Terrace. And off-season is a good thing…because this area is known for its great restaurants, shops, galleries, museums, outdoor activities….and all will be much more accessible without the crowds associated with Tanglewood (summer home of the Boston Symphony) and foliage watchers.
If you come on an off-season weekend, you will also pay about 30% less per night….and at Hampton Terrace in Lenox you get an added bonus….a $30 gift certificate to our local wine/gourmet food shop in town.
On many of those weekends, you are only giving up the chance to go to Tanglewood…as most of the theater companies start up in June, go through December, and also frequently offer shows over the winter and early Spring.
Click on Specials above and all details will be available to you. You can book on-line or call us at 800-203-0656.
Our rooms run $189/night to $249/night, with most in the lower price range and most of those rooms include fireplaces and Jacuzzis. We also include a full hot breakfast buffet.
